I would say that walking down the aisle and seeing John Albert for the first time with tears in his eyes, which of course made me tear up, would be my favorite moment! We decided against a first look because we wanted that special moment with our raw emotions to be a surprise! My other favorite moment from the wedding is when John Albert split his pants from dancing so hard on the last song of the night with our beloved friends and family!Īll of our vendors were outstanding! I would really recommend my great wedding planner, Southern Fete! They were very professional, kept me on schedule and budget and had great ideas for everything! There were so many compliments on the band I chose, Phat Hat Band!!! I’m also in awe every time I look at our wedding photos from Erin & Geoffrey Photography! The groom and groomsmen wore dark brown suits with navy ties, a white pocket square and cowboy boots.

I also knew I wanted the convertible dresses so that the girls could choose the style best for their body types and styles.

Amanda and John Albert’s Rip Van Winkle Gardens wedding is proof that an outdoor wedding can be inexplicably elegant with the right styling. They added a whimsical and romantic feel to the night. We had some fun branding the wood centerpieces with a logo I had made. I would described the wedding as elegant with rustic accents. We kept the color scheme simple with navy, green, white, and neutral browns with the wood centerpieces and deer antlers. I knew I wanted to keep it simple and classic which is my style and I wanted to incorporate his love of the outdoors. Today, the grounds are open to the public for tours and broad views of 1300 acre lake Peigneur. The area has a highly interesting history and visual appeal. We both wanted an outdoor ceremony and reception.
